NO! The results of your exam are dependent solely on your performance. If you demonstrate sufficient skill and control of your vehicle and put basic driving laws into practice, you will be successful.

We can normally fit you into our schedule within a few days as we have multiple locations and examiners throughout the city.

The primary reason for failing an examination is lack of preparation.  Applicants need to be familiar with fundamental driving laws and procedures.  Traffic violations such as “Rolling” stops at red lights and stop signs when turning right, right-of-way violations (both pedestrians and vehicles), speeding violations and unsafe manoeuvres are the main factors in applicants being unsuccessful on their test.  Test anxiety is a major factor in people committing uncharacteristic mistakes. RELAX!

Practice. The time that you spend behind the wheel is a huge factor in your success. Spend time on problem areas in your driving (e.g. Parallel parking, left-hand turns, merging, interpreting intersections, right-of-way judgement etc.) are facets of your driving that you want to be comfortable with.  Familiarize yourself with the vehicle that you will be using for the examination.  You might be required to identify and/or utilize pertinent equipment in your vehicle (e.g. defroster, wipers, park brake).   Pick a time of day when the traffic is lighter (a good time is mid-morning during the week).  When possible, select a time when weather conditions are favourable.  It is recommended that you bring a vehicle with an automatic transmission as many applicants are unfamiliar with the protocols affiliated with the proper operation of a manual transmission.  Attend theoretical and practical classes through a certified driving school where a professional driving instructor can provide you with up to date driving practices and laws.
